After the stainless steel electric water distiller for distillation for a period of time, scale will accumulate in the horizontal flask and on the surface of the heating tube. At this time, it must be cleaned, otherwise it will affect the heating efficiency. The cleaning time mainly depends on the hardness of the tap water and the use time. If the machine is not cleaned for a long time, the distillation effect will be affected, and the heating tube will be damaged in serious cases, and the cleaning time will be extended.

Steps for cleaning the water distiller:

1. Cut off the power supply and turn off the tap water.

2. Add 100ml of hot concentrated hydrochloric acid into the flask and release the hydrochloric acid with the water in the flask. If there is a lot of scale, add more hydrochloric acid. After a few minutes, the water level meter will release it. Finally, rinse it with tap water several times. In order to remove trace hydrochloric acid, shake the flask back and forth until the dead corners that are difficult to clean are rinsed.

3. When distilling again, discard the water distilled within the first 10 minutes.

Note: When using a secondary distillation device, pay attention to the control of the water level. Since the cooling water no longer passes through the water level device and is discharged directly, the water level in the flask can only be controlled by the flask and the water level device. Under no circumstances is the water in the flask allowed to be drained out. Therefore, the volume of the flask should not be less than 2 liters. Otherwise, water should be added frequently during distillation to avoid damage to the water distillation system due to water shortage.
