Metallographic Microscope Troubleshooting

The metallographic microscope is a high-power microscope. It is mainly used for testing and testing in the metallographic field. The equipment is prone to some malfunctions during long-term use and affects normal use. How to solve the mechanical failure of the metallographic microscope?

The common mechanical failures of metallurgical microscopes include coarse adjustment of the micro-mirror, the fine-tuning part, the objective lens converter, etc. Below, Flynn will tell you the solutions:

Coarse adjustment part slides down or rises and falls unevenly:

Automatic sliding refers to the phenomenon that when the lens barrel, arm or stage of a metallurgical microscope is stationary at a certain position, it will automatically fall slowly without being adjusted under the action of its own weight. The reason is that the gravity of the lens barrel, mirror arm, and stage is greater than static friction. The solution is to increase the static friction to make it greater than the gravity of the lens barrel or the lens arm itself. For the coarse adjustment mechanism of the inclined tube and most binocular microscopes, when the mirror arm automatically slides down, you can use both hands to hold the anti-slip wheel inside the coarse adjustment handwheel, and both hands are tightened in a clockwise direction to stop the sliding , If it still doesn't work, it needs special repair.

The fine-tuning part is stuck and invalid:

The fine adjustment part is installed inside the metallurgical microscope, and its mechanical parts are small and compact, which is the delicate and complex part of the metallurgical microscope. If the fine-tuning part of the equipment is stuck or failed, it should be repaired by professionals to avoid self-repair which will cause more serious failure consequences to the microscope.

The objective lens converter positioning device fails:

The failure of the positioning device of the objective lens converter of the metallographic microscope is generally caused by the deformation, breakage, loss of elasticity of the positioning shrapnel, and the loosening of the fixing screws of the shrapnel. When replacing the shrapnel, do not tighten the fixing screw temporarily. The optical axis should be corrected first, and then tighten the screw after the shaft is closed. If it is an internal positioning converter, you should unscrew the thumbscrew in the center of the rotating disk and remove the rotating disk to replace the positioning shrapnel. The method of optical axis correction is the same as the previous one. Please be careful when operating.
